Martinien Afangbedji is a self-revising language specialist whose work sits at the meeting point of legal translation, institutional communication and emerging language technology. A certified Translation Project Manager and Machine Translation Post-Editor (RWS), he pairs the precision of a legal linguist with a clear-eyed view of how technology is reshaping the profession.
Based in Accra, Ghana, he works as a translation consultant to multilateral development institutions and has, over close to a decade, supported intergovernmental and international organisations across the continent. He has also taught the next generation of professionals at the Regional Maritime University in Ghana.
The result is a practical, hands-on perspective, built on real work in African legal and institutional settings. It shapes how he handles every project, and every conversation about language, law, and the technology now changing both.
