What does a project cost, and how is it invoiced?
Pricing is set per project, according to the type of document, its complexity and the deadline, and it is confirmed in writing before any work starts, so nothing on the invoice comes as a surprise. I invoice international institutions directly, in euros, dollars or pounds, and can supply whatever supporting documentation your finance team needs.
How quickly can you deliver, and can you take urgent work?
Average turnaround across recent engagements is three days, and a short contract or a set of resolutions often comes back within twenty-four hours. For anything urgent or high in volume, tell me the deadline first. I will either commit to it or say plainly that I cannot, rather than accept and disappoint.
Will the translation need a second reviser?
No. I work as a self-revising translator, which means the text you receive has already been through a full revision against the source and is ready to publish as it stands. If your own procedures still require an independent reviser, the work is built to withstand that scrutiny.
How do you handle confidential documents?
Confidentiality is the default rather than an option. I work under a non-disclosure agreement whenever one is required and am glad to sign yours. Files are kept on privately hosted, access-controlled systems, are never shared with third parties or used to train any public AI system, and are deleted on request once a project closes.
Do you use machine translation or AI?
Only where it is appropriate, and never unsupervised. As a certified post-editor, I use machine assistance where a text genuinely suits it, under full human control, revising every segment against the source. Sensitive material is handled without any public AI system. You are told which approach applies to your project before it begins.
Can you follow our terminology, templates and file formats?
Yes, and I would rather have them at the outset. I work in Trados Studio, with memoQ, Phrase and SmartCat as required, so your glossaries and translation memories are applied directly and returned to you enriched. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, web content and scanned PDFs are all handled; scanned and image-based files carry a small supplement for the additional work.
Can you work within our procurement process?
Yes. I am regularly onboarded as a supplier by international institutions and can provide a capability statement, references, tax and registration details, and completed vendor forms. If a framework agreement or a purchase order has to be in place first, tell me early and I will work to your timeline.
