How do rates and invoicing work?
Pricing is set per project, according to the type of work, its complexity and the timeline. The rate is shared after a brief initial conversation about scope. Typical output is around 2,500 words per day, and faster where a client needs it. Once we have agreed scope after an initial conversation, a clear engagement letter and contract are issued and signed by both parties, and invoicing terms confirmed, before any work begins.
What file formats do you handle?
Effectively all of them, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF (including scanned PDFs and images, at a rate reflecting the added complexity), web pages, Adobe InDesign, and more. If you have an unusual format, send it over and I will confirm.
Which translation tools do you use?
A fully licensed Trados Studio is my primary environment, complemented by memoQ, Phrase and SmartCat, all properly licensed, with state-of-the-art technology integrated throughout for consistency and quality.
How is my data protected?
Confidentiality and data protection are built in. Information is held on privately hosted, access-controlled datasets and systems, and every tool is procured with data privacy in mind, in line with internationally accepted standards.
