What this site collects, why, who else sees it, and how to have it removed.

If you send the enquiry form: your name, email address, organisation if you give one, the type of work and language direction you select, and the message you write. If you email or book a call: whatever you choose to include. If you accept analytics: pages viewed, approximate location at country level, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. Nothing else is collected, and the site has no advertising and no tracking for advertising.
Enquiry details are used only to answer you and, if we go on to work together, to carry out that work. The basis is your request and the steps taken at your request before any contract, and afterwards the contract itself. Analytics are used only to understand which pages are useful, and rest on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
This site uses a small number of external services, each of which sees only what is necessary. Formspree receives and forwards your enquiry. Netlify hosts the site and keeps standard server logs. Google Analytics receives page statistics, but only if you accept. Cloudflare provides visitor measurement, again only if you accept. Cusdis hosts comments on the blog and loads only if you accept. Google Fonts is no longer used. Several of these services are based outside Ghana and the European Economic Area, and transfer their data accordingly. Your details are never sold, rented or shared for marketing.
Nothing is stored on your device until you accept. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set, no measurement script loads, and comments are not loaded. One small record of your choice is kept in your browser so that you are not asked again. You can change your mind at any time using the link at the foot of this page, or by clearing your browser storage for this site.
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within twelve months. Where we do work together, correspondence and records are kept for as long as the engagement requires and for the period afterwards required by tax and professional obligations. Analytics data is retained for fourteen months.
You may ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to it being processed, ask that processing be restricted, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@afangbedji.com and you will have a reply within thirty days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana, or, if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, to your national supervisory authority.
Documents sent for translation are not handled through this website. They are received by email or by a secure transfer method agreed with you, held on privately hosted, access-controlled systems, never used to train any public artificial-intelligence system, and returned or deleted on request when the engagement closes. Confidentiality agreements are signed on request.
